2026 NSF FAIROS PI Meeting

     

    When:  January 12/13 2026; 8:30 – 17:30 

    Where: JHU Bloomberg Center, 555 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC

    Public Transportation: The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center at 555 Penn is near two DC Metro stations:

    Judiciary Square on the Red Line (0.4 miles, 7 minute walk), 

    Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter on the Green and Yellow Lines (0.2 miles, 4 minute walk)

    Note: The meeting has only in-person attendance. There is not hybrid option. 

    The Principal Investigator Workshop for the NSF FAIROS Program brings together awardees to assess progress and work together to both contextualize successes and clarify gaps as needed to plan sustained efforts in FAIR and Open Science across the US Science research landscape. The central goals of the meeting are to increase impact and focus future directions while building community within the networks to accelerate FAIR and Open Science growth.

    Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Washington, DC has a wide range of hotel options so we are not holding a block of rooms.  The Bloomberg Center at 555 Penn is centrally located and the following hotels are commonly used by visitors:
