NSF FAIROS MaRDA Working Groups to hold Town Hall at 2024 MRS Spring Meeting

Two new MaRDA Working Groups, Microscopy Metadata and FAIR LIMS Data, are set to unveil draft recommendations at the 2024 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit in Seattle. These groups, formed under the NSF FAIROS RCN program, aim to streamline data practices in materials research.

The Microscopy Metadata Working Group concentrates on establishing common metadata standards for electron microscopy experiments, facilitating data sharing and reproducibility. Meanwhile, the FAIR LIMS Data Working Group focuses on implementing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to support research data management and sample tracking.

Attendees of the 2024 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit are invited to join the Town Hall Meeting on April 22nd to provide feedback on the draft recommendations. The Working Groups aim to incorporate this feedback and finalize their community-driven recommendations by September 2024.
