WG 11 is a connector between many related projects on AI-Ready data. The initial scope of the WG is to develop a community-grounded, materials-science specific definition of AI-Ready Data, articulate the central issues that prevent routine reuse for AI/ML, and publish a readiness maturity model that enables consistent assessment across modalities and domains. This WG will also produce an actionable plan and specification for a small, high-quality “gold dataset” that foregrounds uncertainty, replicates, and provenance, to be implemented by a follow-on working group.
